Helen Ray Fields

Helen Bates Ray Fields, age 79, of Asheboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 8, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM at New Union United Methodist Church, 1293 Union Church Road, Asheboro with Rev. George W. Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Fields was a native of Elkin, NC and was retired from Rampon Products. She was a member of New Union United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husbands, John Ray and Richard Fields. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Ray and his wife Suzanne of Asheboro, NC; granddaughters, Brandee Rich and her husband Greg of Asheboro, NC, Heather Ritch and her husband Michael of Asheboro, NC; great grandsons, Gavin Rich and Landon Ritch; step son, Gary Fields and his wife Joyce of Jackson Creek, NC; step daughters, Sheila Allmon and her husband Terry of Asheboro, NC, Judy Allred and her husband Darrell of Beaufort, NC; 4 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home. Memorials may be made to the New Union United Methodist Church Parking Lot Fund, 1293 Union Church Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
