Helen Routh Campbell

Helen Routh Campbell, 97, of Sophia passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, February 17, 2025. Mrs. Campbell, born October 10, 1927, the daughter of Claude and Eutha Jena Trotter Routh. Helen was a native of Randolph County and member of Glenola Baptist Church. A Retired cosmetologist and receptionist of Green Oaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA; she will be missed by all who knew her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John E. Campbell; sisters, Mabel Routh Staley, Jessie Routh Massey, Kate Routh Hollingsworth, and Velma Grace Routh; brothers J.F., Jake, Neal, Burton, Tom, Mitt, and Clinton Routh; great-grandson Joshua Cothern. 

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Laiche; son Dennis Campbell of Baton Rouge, LA; sisters Gladys Brown and Bobby Lineberry; grandchildren, James (Jimbo) Cothern and wife Lisa of Sophia, NC, Timothy Cothern and wife Deborah of Alma, AR, Kenneth Laiche, Richard Campbell and wife Robin, Melanie Campbell Kinler and husband Andy all of Baton Rouge, LA; as well as several great and great-great grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 12:00-12:50 PM at Pugh Funeral Home in Randleman. Services will follow at 1:00 PM in the Eddie Pugh Memorial Chapel with Reverend Perry Brown officiating. Burial will be at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenola Baptist Church, 330 US-311, Archdale, NC 27263.
