Helen Mayes Barnes, age 79, of 380 Clearview Dr., Asheboro died Friday, March 11, 2011 at her home. The family will receive friends Monday, March 14, 2011 from 12:30-1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Monday, March 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC with Dr. Richard Crider and Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Barnes was a native of Roberson County and a homemaker. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. Mrs. Barnes was retired secretary with Randolph County Board of Elections and Randolph County Veterans Administration. .
