Grady Harvey Shaw, age 79, of 1819 Portage Parkway, Asheboro died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Shaw was a native of Montgomery County and an Army veteran. He was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church and was retired from Everready Battery Company. He is survived by his wife, Vadis Lawson Shaw; daughter Sherry Shaw Haney and her husband David of Asheboro, NC; son, Jeff Shaw and his wife Ann of Siler City, NC; grandchildren, Emily Haney, Tyler Haney, Kristen Shaw and Justin Shaw; brother, Doug Shaw of Eden, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC, other times at his home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
