Harry Conrad York

Harry Conrad York, age 78, of Asheboro died Friday, December 2, 2011 at his residence. Mr. York was born November 26, 1933 at Danville, VA the son of the late Louis M. and the late Janie Wade (Fuller) York. Mr. York was of the Baptist faith and had worked for the City of Randleman for 22 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard and Leroy York; and his grandson, Joshua Jackson. He is survived by his wife: Cora Lee Ingle York; daughter, Opal Garland of Asheboro and her special friend Greg Scotton of Randleman, NC; daughter & her husband, Sonya & Barney Brady of Biscoe, NC; daughter & her husband, Jeanie & Boyce Jackson of Biscoe, NC; son and his wife, Harry & Stella York, Jr. of Asheboro, NC; son and his wife, Steven & Marilyn York of Asheboro, NC; sister: Deloris Vestal of Randleman, NC and sister & her husband, Virginia & Ronnie Halverson of Clemmons, NC; brother and his wife: Julian & Linda York of Asheboro, NC, and brother, Lewis York of Asheboro, NC; Grandchildren, Aleisha Brooks, Kimberly Lamonds, Scott Brady, Ashley Eggen, Shacha York, Miranda Brooks, Kaleb Perdue, Brandon York, Justin Jackson, Kristin Jackson and Steven Jackson; 10 great grandchildren; sister In laws, Mary York of Cedar Falls, NC and Betsy York of GA; and special grand-dog, Eddie. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Burial will be in Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro. The family will like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Randolph, Dr. Christine McCarty, Kelly Moser and the staff of Randolph Cancer Center for their kindness and loving care extended to Harry.
