Harold Ray Wilson

d. June 28, 2014

Harold Ray Wilson, age 76, Randleman, NC died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Wilson was born February 26, 1938 the son of Hobert and Ethel Richardson Wilson. Harold was a kind, generous and loving person to all who knew him. He was known for his grace, his love of God and his love for his family. He came from a big family but he never failed to show love and concern for every brother, sister, niece, nephew or cousin. He enjoyed visiting Seagrove, his old home place, and would not miss a week without a ride through the country remembering all his old friends and the good times he had as a boy growing up in a peaceful and proud community. A hotdog or cup of ice cream was always part of the trip. David, Joe and Roger will continue to make those trips as they reminisce and remember their beloved brother. Harold particularly loved his mother and longed to be with her after her death. His beautiful personality, selflessness and friendly smile will be sorely missed by all of his family, church family and friends. But we can rejoice in the reunion that is going on in heaven today as Harold met grandma to live forever in the glorious city by the River of Life. Harold was a member of Bailey's Grove Baptist Church. He was a native of Randolph County and served in the High Point National Guard and worked as a machinist at Wilson Machine Company for 40 years. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by: brothers Hobert, Jr. and Charles Wilson; and sister-in-law: Marie Jennings Wilson. He is survived by his brothers and sisters and their spouses: David Wilson and Lou, Doris Garner and Raymond, Roger Wilson, all of Randleman; Joe Wilson and Diane, of Franklinville, NC; Julia Thompson and Hatlie Ray, of Denton, NC; Susan Loflin and Edward of Trinity, NC; Richard Wilson and Nancy of Asheboro, NC; Jimmy Wilson and Brenda of Randleman, NC; John Wilson of Asheboro, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Bailey's Grove Baptist Church in Asheboro, NC with Pastor Jon Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
