Harold Lee Phillips, age 86, of Asheboro died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mr. Phillips was a native of Randolph County and a U. S. Navy veteran. He was retired from B & H Panel and attended Sunset Avenue Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Joan Robbins Phillips; daughters, Sharon P. Harrelson and her husband Michael of Asheboro and their children, Amy and Joanna Harrelson, Dolores P. Watson and her husband Michael of Asheboro and their children, Aaron and Chloe Watson; son, Darrell Phillips and his wife Darlene of Ramseur and their children Kelly Townsend, LeAnn Brown and Kendra Phillips; step-daughter, Tammy Grenon of Asheboro; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Cleo Dobkins of Ramseur.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at the home of Sharon Harrelson, 1885 Moore Rd., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. O. Ralph Kraft, Rev. Thomas Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
