Harold Duane Hunt

Harold Duane Hunt, age 74, of Asheboro died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Landmark Baptist Church, 2816 Spoons Chapel Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Frank Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Hunt was born in Randolph County on January 3, 1938 to Mood and Mattie Ridge Hunt. He was retired as owner of Hunt Real Estate and Insurance and had been a newspaper carrier for the News-Record for the past 3 years. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Hunt Cox. Harold loved NASCAR and Caraway Speedway, playing base guitar with the Faith Gospel Singers, and he also loved telling jokes. Harold was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Faye Garner Hunt; granddaughter, Amber Cox; and sister, Marie Baum of Denton, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
