Harlan Russell Gallimore

Mr. Harlan R. Gallimore, Sr., 88, of Asheboro, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Randolph Health. He was born July 9, 1930, to the late Mr. Jeff Gallimore and Mrs. Amy Teague Gallimore. His brother Herman Mack Gallimore also preceded him in death. Following high school graduation, Harlan proudly served in the U.S. Army, and he retired from Jockey International.

Harlan was married for 55 years to the late Ruby Parks Gallimore who preceded him in death. Family survivors include sons H.R. Gallimore, Jr. and wife Vickie of Asheboro; Dan Gallimore of Winston-Salem; Ken Gallimore and wife Bridget of Asheboro; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family will be Friday, March 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. C. Wayne Tucker on Saturday, March 16, at 1 p.m., Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment at Parks Cross Roads Christian Church Cemetery in Ramseur, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Harlan's memory to the Parks Cross Roads Church Cemetery Fund, 1995 Parks Cross Roads, Ramseur, NC, 27316.
