Hans B. Brinkhuis

Hans B. Brinkhuis, age 79, died Wednesday, November 5, 2015 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur, NC. Hans was born in Amsterdam in 1934, immigrating to Canada in 1951. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1961 proudly becoming a U.S. citizen. He worked 30 years for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in New York, later retiring to North Carolina. He then enjoyed working for the NC Zoo driving passengers on the trams and buses. He was an avid traveler, extremely active, and loved his animals. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father. Hans was preceded in death by his father Hendrik; mother Francina; and by his brothers Boudewijn and Derek. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Vanessa of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters, Hennie Pelizzoli of Nairobi, Kenya and Beatrix Vangor of Asheboro, NC; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins around the world.
