Hallie Poindexter Brown

Hallie Poindexter Brown, age 83, of 400 Vision Dr., Asheboro died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Brown was born March 8, 1932 the daughter of Banner and Mallie Creed Poindexter. Mrs. Brown was a native of Surry County and formerly employed with Bossong Hosiery. She was a member of Gods Outreach Ministries of Asheboro. In addition to her parents, Hallie was preceded by her husbands: George Foster, Sr. and Samuel Floyd Brown, one brother: Arnie Poindexter. She is survived by four daughters: Joyce F. Wilson of Denton, NC, Judy F. Brower of Asheboro, Janice F. (Charlie Ray) Hamlett of Seagrove, Loretta Jane Dunn of Asheboro; two sons: George Foster, Jr of Asheboro, and Ricky Lee (Deborah) Foster of Winston- Salem; stepdaughters: Lawanda (Tim) Poindexter, Louella East and Ronda Poindexter all of Asheboro; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; sister: Inez Davis of Asheboro; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor Wayne Eller officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
