Hal Dwight Miller

Hal Dwight Miller, age 80, of 1098 Jarvis Miller Rd., Asheboro, NC died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11:00 am at Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Hammond and Rev. Jim Groome officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Miller was a native of Randolph County and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Burlington Industries and was an active member of Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Miller and sister, Leona Peacock. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pearlie Farlow Miller; sons, Rick Miller and his wife Becky of Wilmington, NC, Steve Miller and his wife Karen of Maryville, MO; grandchildren, Christopher Miller of Maryville, MO, Matthew Miller of Jackson, MO, Lauren Miller of Wilmington, NC Corey Miller of Wilmington, NC; sister, Betty West of Charlotte, NC; special friends and caregivers, Doris Bulla and Mike Johnson. The family will receive friends Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC. Memorial may be made to Mt.
