Haddie B. Varner

Haddie Broadstreet Varner, age 90, of Asheboro died Monday, April 22, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Varner was a native of Kernersville, retired from Acme-McCrary Corporation and attended Randolph Community College. She was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church where she was a former member of the choir and puppet ministry. She loved playing with children and sewing. Mrs. Varner was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Varner. She is survived by daughters, Alana Robinson and husband Rob of Asheboro, Barbara Reid and husband Jerry of Kernersville, Jane DeMay and husband Bill of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Jeremy Reid and wife Gretchen, Kellen Reid and wife Trista, Candace Dowd and husband Eric, Claudia Wilson; great grandchild, Caleb Pruitt. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1:00pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Dr. Bruce Dickerson and Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Alana Robinson, 1141 Iron Mountain View Rd., Asheboro.
