H. David Beaman

H. David Beaman, age 76, of 216 Corbett Road, Troy died Monday, March 26, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham. David was born January 20, 1936 at Montgomery County, NC, the son of Abihue and Sallie Broome Beaman. He was a retired lineman with 24 years of service from Carolina Power & Light Company. After retirement, he became a farmer who loved to spend time in his garden and farm. He also loved to fish. He attended Community Baptist Church of Candor. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Christine Lamonds Beaman of the home; one daughter: Lois B. Shue of Troy; two sons: Holly Dennis Beaman and wife, Phyllis of Troy, Roy Dale Beaman and wife, Tina, also of Troy; grandchildren: Candy, Terri, Stephanie, Amanda, Alan, Eric and Holly Ann; great grandchildren: Madison, Marissa and Gavin; step-grandchildren: Mary Jo, Ronnie, Tanya, Mike and Kristina. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St, Troy; other times at the home. A funeral service will be Thursday at 4 pm at Shiloh Church, Shiloh Church Road, Troy, with Rev. Wayne VunCannon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pugh-Troy Funeral Home is serving the Beaman family.
