Guy Hampton York

Guy Hampton York age 93, of  High Point, formerly of Asheboro,. died Monday, June 11, 2001 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point.

Mr. York was the son to the late Luther and the late Flossie (Pierce) York. Mr. York was a native of Randolph County and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. He was a retired textile worker and was the widower of Ada Newsom York.

He is survived by daughter: Helen Y. King of Asheboro, NC; daughter:Millie Y. Robbins of Mt. Gilead, NC; son: Guy E. York of Asheboro, NC; son: Vaughn M. York of High Point, NC; son: Larry C. York of Walkertown, NC;  sister: Hettie Jenkins of Central Falls, NC; step son: George H. York of Badin, NC; step daughter: Shelby Rothman of Lexington, KY; 9 grandchildren; 9 greatgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 from 1-2 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral will follow on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Bill Payne officiating.  Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
