Gustavo Simental - Rodriguez

Gustavo Simental-Rodriguez, age 35, of Asheboro passed away on March 20, 2022 as the result of an automobile accident.

Gustavo was born on August 15, 1986 in Zacatecas, Mexico.  He loved animals and was employed as the Farm Manager with Townley Equestrian Center. Gustavo was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where he always volunteered in any capacity that he was needed.  He was a loving and caring husband.  Gustavo loved working outside, had a green thumb, and loved working with plants.  Gustavo was always willing to help others and loved to help with organizing events in the community.

He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Ana Luisa Flores-Sanchez; step daughters, Yadira Montes (Juan Portugal) and Natalie Montes; step son, Francisco Montes; step grandchildren, Aldo Aaron Portugal Montes, Eric Portugal Montes, and Nathan Depaz Montes; parents, Gustavo Simental-Recendez and Ma del Refuguio Rodriguez-Simental; brothers, Daniel, Valentin, and Roberto Efrain Simental-Rodriguez; and sisters, Maria Guadalupe, Maria del Refuguia, and Maria Auxilio Simental-Rodriguez.  

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.  A funeral mass will follow at 6:00 pm with Father Phillip Kollinthanath officiating.
