Guido J. Catalani

Guido J. Catalani, age 95, of Asheboro died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Catalani was a native of Rockford, IL and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of WWII and retired from Bassett Furniture in Ramseur after 45+ years of service. Mr. Catalani was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Catalani and son, Louis Catalani. He is survived by his daughter, Rose Hussey and husband Brad of Asheboro; sons, Mike Catalani and wife Paula of Oakridge, Bill Catalani of Asheboro; grandchildren, Michael Catalani of NY, Michael Moore, Matthew Hussey, Andrea Hussey, Heather Hussey, Stephanie Catalani and Kaitlyn Catalani all of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Friday, October 18, 2013 from 9:30-10:45 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joseph Mack officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
