Gregory Shelton Underwood

Gregory Shelton Underwood, age 40, of 165 Idlewild Dr., Randleman lost a brave fight with pancreatic cancer, Monday, September 21, 2009 in the loving arms of his wife, Mary and surrounded by many loved ones. Mr. Underwood was a native of Greensboro and a graduate of Southern Guilford High School class of 1987. He was the superintendent of Contract Erectors of Randleman, he was employed there since he was 18 years old. Greg was a very hard working, family man with a smile of gold and was adored by his wife and children. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He is survived by his wife: Mary Katherine Underwood; daughter: Chelsea Underwood; sons: Chase, Aiden, and Wyatt Underwood; mother: Annette underwood and Gordon Schillinger of Greensboro; father: Jim Underwood, and his wife, Ann of Reidsville; sisters: Pam Black of Greensboro, Janee' Sexton of Eden; brother: James Cory Underwood of Greensboro; In-Laws, Vernon and Beth Banks of Kernersville; grandmother: Juanita Phillips of Bear Creek; many nieces nephews, aunts and uncles.The family will receive friends Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Bailey's Grove Baptist Church, 105 E. Beasley St., Asheboro with Pastor Jonathan Shook officiating.
