Grady Huston Parris Jr.

Grady Huston "Bug" Parris Jr., age 83, of 3139 Old NC Hwy 49, Asheboro died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2:00 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 3012 Old NC 49, Asheboro with Pastor Marty Grainger officiating. Entombment will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Parris was a native of Moore County and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of Parris Electric and attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Bug was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Stein Parris, sister, Jerry Milholen, and brother, Jim Parris. He is survived by his sons, Andy Parris and his wife Page of Asheboro, NC, Grady H. "Chip" Parris III of the home; daughter, Dawn Bell and her husband Mike of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Ryan Camp, Carson Parris, Taylor Parris, Ethan Bell; great grandchild, Evelynne Camp; and sisters, Ola Mae Trogdon, Joyce Lamb, and Judy Hall all of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
