Grady Auman

Grady Auman, age 91, formerly of Burney Road, Asheboro died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Reaves officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Auman was a native of Randolph County and was a Navy veteran of WWII. He resided in Long Beach, NC for 14 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Luther Auman and son Grady Auman, Jr. He is survived by his son, Johnny Auman of Asheboro; daughters, JoAnn McBride of Star, Joyce Paffe of Asheboro, Janet Tyler of Asheboro, Rebecca Prevatte of Southport; 27 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Janet Tyler, 902 New Bern Ave., Asheboro.
