Grace Brady Brower

Grace Brady Brower, age 84, of Asheboro passed away ono Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Mrs. Brower was born in Seagrove on November 10, 1932 to Chancey and Mary Ledwell Brady. She was a member of Agape Outreach Ministries. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Brower, sons, Elbert Brower and Ronald Brower, grandsons, Roscoe Gray and Scottie Brower, and adopted children, Sheri Goldston and Vickie Evans. Grace loved her family and was always willing to help them in any way she could. She loved to cook and was known for her pound cake, carrot cake, bean pie, and biscuits.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Patterson of Greensboro, Gladys Smith of Greensboro, Gwendolyn Brower of Asheboro, Janice Brower of Asheboro, Lisa Brower of Asheboro; sons, Johnny Brower of Asheboro and Lloyd Miser of Asheboro; and adopted children, Laura Brower of Asheboro and Scott Baylor I of Asheboro; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rebecca Brewer officiating. Burial will follow. The family will gather at 522 S. Cross St., Asheboro following the committal service.
