Golden Delk Hunt, age 93, of 2432 US Hwy 64 East, Asheboro died Monday, May 31, 2010 at her home.
The funeral will be Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald D. Van Lente, Rev. Harold Shives, Rev. Steve Wood and Rev. Randy Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Hunt was a native of Randolph County and an active member of Giles Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a member of the UMC Women. She was a floral designer and worked with Delk Florist and Bobbie's Florist and was active in the Randolph Community Home Demonstration Agency. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Dale Hunt and brother, J.C. Delk, Jr. Golden loved her family and family gatherings. She was a wonderful cook and her chicken pies will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Olan L. Hunt; son, Gary Lee Hunt and his wife Cathy of Archdale; daughter-in-law, Sherri Hunt of Ramseur; grandsons, Jonathan Lee Hunt and Matthew Daniel Hunt both of Archdale.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
