Golda Lee Robbins Hinshaw, age 89, of 402 Sunset Dr., Randleman, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Mrs. Hinshaw was a graduate of Asheboro High School in 1938, a member of First United Methodist Church in Randleman where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She served as past President of the Randleman Women's Club, past Treasurer of the VFW auxiliary in Asheboro. Golda was the former co-owner of A & F Wholesale in Randleman, former Brownie Scout Troop Leader and active with Meals on Wheels. She loved her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and neighbors. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Worth Hinshaw; daughters, Susan Hinshaw Baker and Deborah Hinshaw Boswell; parents, Lewis Curtis and Maude Paisley Robbins; brother, Curtis Robbins, Jr.; sisters, Mildred Cox, Mary Dorsett and Hilda York. She is survived by Grandchildren: Paige Carter and her husband John William Carter, III of Eagle Springs, NC; Chip Baker and his wife, Ashley Davis Baker of Wilmington, NC; Betsy Walts and her husband, Brandon Walts of Minneapolis, MN; Mitzi Baker of Minneapolis, MN; Mary Baker of Philadelphia, PA; grandson, Josh Boswell of Manteo, NC; Great Grandchildren: Hannah Carter, Caroline Carter, John Carter, Isaac Carter, Leah Carter, Reese Walts, Kate Walts; sister: Margaret Steed of Asheboro, NC; Son-in-law: William C. Baker of Plains, PA; Sister-In-Law: Mary Spirizzi of Steelton, PA.The family will receive friends Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 1:00 - 2:00PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The graveside service will be Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 2:30PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. David Cox and Rev.
