Glenna Mae Voncannon Graves, age 96, of 3822 Happy Hollow Rd., Asheboro died Friday, January 4, 2008 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Flag Springs United Methodist Church, 5852 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro with Rev. Billy Jarrett and Rev. Harold Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Graves was a native of Randolph County and retired from General Electric. She was a member of Flag Springs United Methodist Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband; George R. Graves, one daughter, Louise Gunter, her parents, one brother and five sisters. She is survived by one daughter: Betty Sue Brown of Asheboro, NC; one son: George Robert Bob Graves and his wife, Jane of Asheboro, NC; 6 grandchildren; Alden Brown, Darlene Perry, Don Graves, Tisha Sides, Keith Gunter and Gina Delk; 16 great grandchildren, Craig Brown, Valerie Patterson, Isaac Perry, Cody Perry, Jordan Perry, Cindy Lackey, Brandon Graves, Karlye Sides, Karson Sides, Miranda Poole, Linda Gunter, Noah Gunter, Andrew Delk, Phillip Delk, Rebecca Delk and Jacob Delk; 1 great great grandchild, Chander Lackey. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 6, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home.
