Glenn Young

Glennyess Edwin "Glenn" Young, age 65, of 3424 Old Brower Mill Road, Franklinville died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at his home. Mr. Young was a long time employee of Stuart Furniture. He then started and operated J & G Panel for several years. He was an avid and devoted gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Jordan Young and Florence Burrow Young, his wife, Lillian Laughlin Young, grandson Edward C. Young, and his brother, Michael O. Young. He is survived by: fiancee, Mollie Trogdon of the home; two sons and their wives: Richard E. and Deanne Young of Asheboro, NC, and Billy R. and Sherri Young of Sophia, NC; one daughter Gwendolyn G. Young of Greensboro, NC; grandson, Kyle Martin; grandson, Richard Young, Jr.; grandson and his wife, Robert and Katie Young; grandson, William Young;and granddaughter, Christan Young. The graveside funeral will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 2:30 PM at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5056 NC Hwy 22 North, Franklinville with Rev. Jeff York officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 N.C.
