Glenn Wayne Mills

Glenn Wayne Mills, age 69, of 856 Sonora Dr., Asheboro died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Jarrell and Jimmy Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Mr. Mills was born on May 5, 1939 in Jones County, NC to the late Robert Wayne and Henrietta Philyaw Mills. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed with his uncle at Red's Chicken Hut, was a former truck driver in Rocky Point, NC and Luck's Beans in Seagrove, NC. Glenn loved fishing, being on the water, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lee Mills, and sisters, Hazel Aldridge and Delores Holley. He is survived by his sisters, Janice Snow and her husband Bobby of Asheboro, NC and Shirley Hinson of Ramseur, NC; nephews, John Aldridge; Lee Hinson; Tim Mills and his wife Kelli-who was also his caregiver; and Jimmy Parker; nieces, Connie Connell; Robin Smith; Donna Santos; Beth Mills; and Ashley Snow McDonald; and his beloved cat and bird, Thomas and Big Bird. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
