Glen Keyes

R. Glen Keyes, age 87, of Asheboro, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Keyes was born September 29, 1923 in New York, NY, the son of Thomas Hall Keyes and Marie Rohrs Keyes. Mr. Keyes was an Army Air Corp. veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Columbia University, M.I.T. and N.Y.U. He was also a small business owner, most recently the owner of Keyes Management Systems. Mr. Keyes was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and taught business at Gardner-Webb University and Randolph Community College. He is survived by his wife: Helen Lee Keyes, daughter: Cynthia Miller and husband David of Huntersville, NC, brother: Noel Keyes of Corona del Mar, CA, and granddaughter, Abigail Miller of Huntersville, NC. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Hall Keyes and Dale Keyes. The memorial service will be held Tuesday June 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 505 Mountain Road, Asheboro with The Rev. Barbara J. Cooke, Rector officiating. Burial will follow in the church columbarium with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
