Gladys Michael

Gladys Lyon Michael, age 83, Asheboro passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Michael was born August 13, 1930 in Randolph County. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Michael was a thrifty person who enjoyed antiques and collectables. She enjoyed going to the beach and watching the hummingbirds in her yard. She was a sweet and kind lady with a dry sense of humor. Mrs. Michael was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Estoria Luck Lyon and daughter, Linda W. Snow. She is survived by daughter, Diane Hicks and husband Jim of Ramseur; son, Leon "Chip" McNeill and wife Anna of Asheboro; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, November 15, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Randolph's staff, caretakers and chaplain.
