Gladys Saunders Brower

Gladys Saunders Brower, age 96, of Asheboro joined her heavenly family on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Brower was born June 2, 1919 in Asheboro to Eli Franklin and Margaret Rose Saunders. Gladys was the youngest of eleven children. She was an excellent mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cook and seamstress. Mrs. Brower enjoyed reading, crafting and going to the beach. She also enjoyed spending time working in her flowers and spending time with her family. She was a strong woman of her faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brower was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Roy C. Brower. She is survived by her daughters, Sybil Williamson and husband Alvin Williamson of Asheboro, Karen Brown and husband Lindy Brown, Sr. of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tait Williamson and wife Michelle, Tim Williamson and wife Ada, Tana Hronek and husband Jimmy, Tori Snider and husband Chris, Lindy Brown, Jr. and wife Christine, Hunter Brown and wife Ashleigh; great grandchildren, Shad, Trew, Mason and Trace Williamson, Haley and Alex Hronek, Sage and Kolby Snider, Jordan, Olivia and Hobie Brown. The family will receive friends Friday, March 18, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rhonda Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
