Gladys Luck Aldridge, age 87, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mrs. Aldridge was born in Randolph County on July 2, 1929 to Carl Lee and Bertha Hurley Luck. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Flag Springs United Methodist Church for many years. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Mastin "V.M." Aldridge, Jr., brother, Nolan Luck, and sisters Jewel Cagle, Edith Callicutt, Ethylene Spencer, and Ruby Hill. Gladys loved to cook for her family and get togethers. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Aldridge and wife Melissa of New Bern and Alan Aldridge and wife Theresa of Asheboro; grandchildren, Zachary Aldridge and wife Kim, Meridith Wessels and husband Drew, Daniel Aldridge, Samuel Aldridge; great grandchildren, Ethan Aldridge, Noah Aldridge; step grandchildren, Misty LaPradd, Bill LaPradd and wife Jenny, John Garner and wife Eva; step great grandchildren, Eric LaPradd, Nathan LaPradd, Mary-Jane Garner, Paisley Garner; and sister, Shelby Jean Logsdon of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Flag Springs United Methodist Church, 5852 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro with Dr. Billy Jarrett and Rev. Carol Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
