Gladis Marie Keene

Gladis Marie Hubbard Keene, age 84, of 117 Sheffield St., Asheboro died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Keene was a native of Guilford County and a member of West Asheboro Baptist Church. She was retired from Burlington Industries and Wal-Mart as a people greeter. Mrs. Keene was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Keene and her son, Earland Lee Keene. She is survived by her daughter, Janice K. Small and her partner Denise Whichard of Asheboro; grandchildren, Joseph Keene and his wife Jennifer of Asheboro, Carrie Ann Dorrity and her husband Brent of Asheboro, Brooks A. Small of Dubia, UAE; great grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph II and Thomas Keene, Kassie and Tara Dorrity; sister, Irene Williams and her husband Don of Archdale. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Monday at 4:30 pm at West Asheboro Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel K. Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
