Gilbert Eugene Chriscoe

Gilbert Eugene Chriscoe, age 81, of Seagrove died Saturday, November 29, 2014. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Westmoore Elementary School, 2195 South NC Hwy 705, Seagrove and other times at his home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00 pm with Travis Nichols officiating. Mr. Chriscoe was born in Moore County on January 10, 1933 to Clyde and Ometa Chriscoe. Gilbert was baptized on July 10, 1970 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. In addition to his parents, Gilbert was preceded in death by his former wife and the mother of his children, Mildred Chriscoe, daughter: Debra Chriscoe, brothers: Maurice, Graham, Colvin, Clyde, Jr., and Herbert Chriscoe, and sisters: Juanita Luther and Velma Grant. He is survived by his wife, of 23 years, Ruth Chriscoe; daughters: Ruth Templeton and her husband Roy, Linda Tucker, Tammy Atkins and her husband Joe, Reba Cutsail and her husband Dale; sons, Eugene "Gene" Chriscoe and his wife Barbara, Robert Chriscoe and his wife Nancy; 29 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother: B. J. Chriscoe, Bradley Chriscoe; sisters: Edna Tillman, Marie Chriscoe, Judi Rice. Memorials and flowers may be sent to Reba Cutsail, 387 Reeder Rd., Seagrove, NC to assist in the care of his wife, Ruth. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Chriscoe family.
