Geri Ila Grape

Geri Ila Whaler Grape, 58, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, NC from cancer. Born in Tampa, Florida, on September 21, 1950, Geri was the daughter of the late George and Virginia Whaler. With her father in the U.S. Army, Geri lived in a variety of places, Florida, California, Washington, Alaska, Virginia and the Panama Canal Zone where she attended Cristobal High School. She graduated from Lakes High, in Tacoma, Washington in 1968. Geri moved to North Carolina in 2003. She was noted for her work in stain glass. She is survived by three sisters: Joyce Hibberts of Randleman, NC; Diana White of Clermont, FL; and Jackie Oliver of Cheseapeake, VA and 7 nieces and nephews and 8 grand nieces and nephews.
