Geraldine Whitley White

Geraldine "Gerry" Whitley White, age 91, of Asheboro died Monday, May 29, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. White was born July 6, 1925 in Ellerbe to Martin Cager and LouDella Hall Whitley. She attended Guilford College and was a member of Providence Friends Meeting. Mrs. White retired from the Randolph County Public Library where she ran the Book Mobile program. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Wayne Earl White. She is survived by daughter, Theresa Jane White of Asheboro; sons, David Wayne White and wife Minnette Cihlar of Jamestown, Lyndon Wilson White and wife Camilla Adams White of Asheboro; granddaughters, Morgan White Robbins and husband Tyler Wade Robbins of Seagrove, Kenley Guy White of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 2:30-3:30 pm at Providence Friends Meeting, 2054 Providence Church Road, Pleasant Garden. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 PM with Rev. Ricky Sessoms and Rev. Larry McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in the meeting cemetery. Memorials may be made to Providence Friends Meeting, 2054 Providence Church Road, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
