Georgia Owensby

Georgia Webster Owensby, age 88, Greensboro died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Wesley Long Community Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Owensby was born January 7, 1924 at Hendersonville, NC the daughter of the late Baxter Paul and the late Bertha Bell (Cornwell) Webster. Mrs. Owensby was a native of Hendersonville, NC and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Georgia was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved sewing, watching birds and listening to country music. Mrs. Owensby was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Daniel Owensby, son, Robert Donald (Donnie) Owensby, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children and their spouse: Elizabeth Jeanette (Roger) Huffman of Greensboro, NC and two sons: Harry (Brenda) Owensby of Greensboro, NC, Larry (Patsy) Owensby of Greensboro, NC, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and one brother: Junior Webster of Lexington, NC. The family will receive friends Monday, November 19, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
