Georgia Reid Dodson

Georgia Reid Dodson, age 94, of 1302 Old Cox Rd., Asheboro died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation. Georgia was born on February 12, 1914 in Wingate, NC to Palmer and Lydia Austin. She had lived in Southeast Asia and England for many years and was retired from Cessco in Charlotte, NC. Georgia was a member of the United Methodist Church and was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James E. Reid and Samuel Dodson, and seven brothers and sisters and one niece. She is survived by her nephews, Jack Fetner of Carolina Beach, NC; Jim Fetner of Asheboro, NC; Grady Query of Charleston, SC; nieces, Merrill Fetner Smith of Asheboro, NC; Lydia Pinault of Massachusetts; 2 great nieces and 5 great nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
