George Albert Sain

George Albert Sain, age 84, of 1591 Miles Moffitt Rd., Asheboro died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mr. Sain was born August 29, 1926 the son of Frank and Marie Corriher Sain. Mr. Sain was a native of Walnut Cove, NC and was retired as a truck driver. He served his country as a Veteran of the Army and of the Merchant Marines. George had been actively involved in the American Legion Post in Winston Salem. He was active in the Henderson Hills Baptist Church, Seagrove, NC. He is survived by his wife: Lovie Buchanan Sain; one daughter: Brenda Valentine of Walnut Cove, NC; two sons: Bill Sain of Hampstead, NC; Keith Sain of Walnut Cove, NC; step-daughter: Nena Smith of White Lake, NC; step-son: Dusty Maxwell of Asheboro, NC; grandson: Caleb Underwood of White Lake, NC; grandson: David Nelson of Walnut Cove, NC; granddaughter: Crystal Valentine of Winston Salem, NC; grandson: Brian Sain of Wilkesboro, NC; granddaughter: Misty Sain of Hamstead, NC; and grandson: Chris Sain of Hamstead; 5 great grandchildren; four sisters: Flora Tucker of Wilmington, NC, Annie Lou Shelton of Walnut Cove, NC; Margaret Eudy of Walnut Cove, NC; Mary Etta Martin of Walnut Cove, NC; and two brothers: Bob Sain of Cleveland,TN and Ernest Sain of Walnut Cove, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Howard Moffitt officiating.
