George Johnnie Jenkins

George Johnnie Jenkins of 161 Williamson St., Troy, died Friday, October 16, 2009 at his home.Mr. Jenkins was born in Albemarle, NC the son of James C. and Lillie P. (Smith) Jenkins. He lived the majority of his life in the Troy area. He attended Troy Wesleyan Church, was a US Air Force veteran of World War II and a self employed painter. He was a member of Troy Masonic Lodge #718, a member of the Scottish Rites, a Shriner and a 33rd Degree Mason. He is survived by his wife: Estelle B Jenkins of the home.The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Troy Wesleyan Church, 842 Ophir Ave., Troy. A graveside service with Masonic Rites will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at Southside Cemetery, S. Main Street, Troy with Rev. James Brewer officiating.Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home
