George Grady Councilman, Jr.

George Grady Councilman, Jr., age 65, Burlington died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Hospice Of Durham VA, Durham. Mr. Councilman, Jr. was born June 27, 1949 at Asheboro, NC the son of George G. and Grace Snyder Councilman. George was a native of Asheboro, NC and a graduate of Asheboro High School, Class of 1967. He was a US Marine, stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and was retired from the Marines in 1971, as a Lance Corporal. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one sister and her husband: Jane and Randy Ward of Farmville, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating.
