George Kelly Barker

George Kelly Barker, age 94, of Climax died Friday, March 9, 2012 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mr. Barker was born April 12, 1917, the son of Claude and Elsie Barker. Mr. Barker was a native of Randolph County and a member of Providence Friends Meeting. He was employed with B.B. Walker Shoe Company for 25 years. George was preceded in death by his wife: Annie Spencer Barker, his parents: Claude and Elsie Barker, one daughter: Sarah Ann Barker and a brother: C. P. Barker. He is survived by one daughter: Susan Barker of Climax, one sister: Mable Ferree of Greensboro, close friends and caretakers: Clarence Reynolds and Pat Peters. The family will receive friends Monday, March 12, 2012 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. Graveside service will be held Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Providence Friends Meeting Cemetery, 2054 Providence Church Road, Pleasant Garden with Rev. Brandon Dockery officiating.
