Gene Hedgecock

Clarence Eugene "Gene" Hedgecock, age 77, of 3777 Bethany Church Road, Franklinville died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at his home A graveside service with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Randolph Memorial Park with Rev. Aaron Robbins officiating. Gene was a native of Randolph County, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from Ramtie. In retirement he enjoyed cattle farming, and the outdoors. He was a regular at the Carolina Stockyards in Siler City, NC. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was very proud of each of them. He will be missed as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife: Armenta L. Hedgecock; son and his wife: Michael and Donna Hedgecock of Randleman; daughter: Angela Osborne of Sophia; grandchildren: Coty Hedgecock of CA, Senior Airman Lucretia Hedgecock of Germany, Kayla Hedgecock of Randleman, Emily Osborne of Sophia;sister, Florence Warrner of King. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 pm and Friday from noon - 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Hospice of Randolph County, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
