Gary Bernard Smith

Gary Bernard Smith, age 80, of Asheboro died Friday, October 18, 2019 at Alpine Heath & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.

Mr. Smith was born May 9, 1939, the son of the late Roy Lester Smith and the late Lucille Allred Smith. Mr. Smith was a native of Randolph County and was a retired painter.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Marie Auman and Patsy Henley, and a brother; Darrell Smith.

He is survived by a daughter, Wanda Winningham of Oracle, Arizona,  two sisters: Cheryl S. Hardee and husband Kenneth of Branchville, SC and Joyce Smith of Asheboro, NC, one brother: Leslie “Buster” Smith and his wife Rachel of Asheboro, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Sunday at 3:00 PM at Mt. Tabor Community Church Cemetery, Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Asheboro with Pastor Stephen Stowe and Leslie Smith Moore officiating.
