Gary Joel Small

Gary Joel Small of Charlotte, NC, passed away in his home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 63. Gary was born in High Point, NC, to Clyde and Betty Small, who preceded him in death.

Gary lived most of his life in Randleman, Greensboro and Charlotte, NC. He was the owner/operator of Joel's Florist in Randleman for 18 years and had a life-long career in floral design. Gary loved gardening, cooking, traveling and the beach. His last couple of years were brightened by living with and taking care of his granddaughter, Ada. If you knew Gary and miss him, you can find him somewhere over the rainbow.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son Brooks Small, daughter-in-law, Shelly Small, and granddaughter, Ada Small, of Charlotte, as well as his brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Janice Small of Trinity, and sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Jim Lanier, of Randleman. He is also survived by his ex-wife and friend Janice K. Small, and friend and former partner, Leo Scott, Jr. of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Kaye Fry officiating.
