Gary Lee Saunders

Gary Lee Saunders, age 62, of Ramseur died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Mr. Saunders was born November 16, 1953 in Asheboro the son of Romie Ester Saunders and Cora Ellen Williams Saunders Cranford. Gary was a native of Randolph County, a US Army Veteran and was a self- employed carpenter. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Cranford. He is survived by his mother: Cora Cranford and husband Lawrence of Asheboro; sisters: Ellen Tolbert and husband Keith of Thomasville, Diane Jones and Travis of Grovetown, GA; brothers: Gene Saunders and wife Barbara of Franklinville, Beauford Cranford and wife Danielle of Asheboro; sister-in-law: Nan Cranford of Randleman; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11 AM at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, 7811 Pisgah Covered Bridge Road, Asheboro with Beauford Cranford officiating.
