Gary David Richardson

Gary David Richardson, age 65, of Sophia died Thursday, November 23, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point.

Mr. Richardson was born February 3, 1952. Gary was a native of Randolph County and a member of First United Methodist Church of Randleman. In Gary's early years he was employed with Greensboro News & Record and The Courier-Tribune newspapers as circulation manager. Later he and his brother were co-owners/operators of Charlie's #2 in Randleman. Presently he was self-employed with rental property. Gary was an active member of Randolph Shrine Club and member of Asheboro Masonic Lodge #699. Gary is preceded in death by his father: Fred Richardson, and his daughter: Wendelin Jo Richardson.

He is survived by his wife: Karen Brookshire Richardson of the home; mother: Margaret Richardson of Sophia; daughters: Kelly Patton and husband Ryan of Asheboro, and Mandy Pearce and husband Matthew of Randleman; son: David Brent Richardson of Sophia; grandchildren: Madeline Richardson, David Richardson, Eva Vuncannon; Ella Pennington, Berkley Pennington, Marcus Pearce and Bethany Pearce; step grandchildren: Keylin Gamboa and Reychell Gamboa; brother: Larry Richardson and wife Cathie of Sophia; and nephew Jason Richardson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 12:00 - 1:15 PM at First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Randleman, NC. The memorial service will follow at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jenna Grogan officiating.

Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
