Gary Clifford Lundy

Gary Clifford Lundy, 67, of Wilmington, NC passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was born April 7, 1957 in Randolph County to Joseph Clifford Lundy and Clovina Elaine Hancock Lundy. 

Gary was a brilliant planner and strategist. Known for his love of games and gaming, he is a former chess champion who enjoyed bowling and any sport that made him think. His passion for fishing, vacations, and big adventures is what drew him to Wilmington and life on the water. 

Gary is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lundy of Raleigh; son, Chris Lundy of Siler City; grandson, Caleb Lundy of Siler City; sisters, Deborah Lundy of Randleman and Rachel Thornton (Tommy) of Randleman. 

The family will have a graveside service on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park.
