Gary Lee Hill

Gary Lee Hill, age 62, of Trinity died Friday, September 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Hill was born February 4, 1955, the son of Walter Duckery and Ila Mae Johnson Hill, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Hill was a native of Randolph County and was formerly employed in the furniture industry. Gary was also employed as a bus driver for the Randolph County School system and had a degree in in IT Networking from RCC. He loved fishing, woodworking, riding his motorcycle and was an artist. Gary was a happy person who enjoyed making others laugh and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years: Sandra Combs Hill; three daughters: Kelli Lynn Hill of Vass, Misty Nichole Hill of Trinity and Tory Dawn Combs Jordan of Asheboro; son: Christopher Gary Hill of Kannapolis; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; two sisters: Rachel Allred of Morehead City and Nancy McDaniel of Randleman; brother: Charles T. Hill of Randleman.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm prior to the service at Randolph Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro, NC. Funeral service will follow 2:00 PM with Dr. Brent Tysinger officiating.
