Garland Wesley Richardson

Garland Wesley Richardson, age 73, of Seagrove died Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Richardson was born August 14, 1941 the son of Delbert Wesley and Mary Ella Maness Richardson. Garland was a native of Montgomery County and spent his life in southern Randolph County. He spent his working life as a painter, he owned Garland Richardson Painting. He would seine ponds for friends and have huge fish fry's around the Fourth of July. He enjoyed hunting, particularly quail and deer, fishing and always raised a large vegetable garden. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by: son and his wife: Kenneth and Cassandra Richardson of Randleman, NC; daughter and her husband: Cynthia and Tim Arnold of Lexington, NC; daughter and her husband: Judy and Gary Cagle of Stokesdale, NC; son and his wife: Timothy and Deanna Richardson of Asheboro, NC; son and his wife: Dwaine and Teresa Richardson of Asheboro, NC; and 8 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darren Richardson and Bobby Poole officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Memorial Gardens, Asheboro.
