Fred James Norton

Fred James Norton, age 63, of 156 Paradise Lane, New London died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his home. Mr. Norton was born August 5, 1946 in Phillips, WI, the son of Fred James and Marilyn (Boheim) Norton. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired tractor trailer trainee instructor. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Sam Norton. He is survived by his wife: Charolette Shamblin Norton of the home; one son: Luke Norton; four sisters: Judy Muelling, Marge Salisbury, Mary Williams, all of WI and Patrice Norton of Iowa; four grandchildren. A celebration of his life will begin Friday at 4:00 pm in the fellowship hall of Chandlers Grove United Methodist Church, 2535 Blaine Rd, New London with Pastor Keith Copeland officiating, followed by military rites provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service until 6 pm. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home.
