Fred Ingram Jones, age 73, of High Point died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital. Mr. Jones was born July 27, 1942 in High Point to Morris Alexander and Clare Case Ingram Jones. He was active in the boy scouts and had received his Eagle Scout award. Fred attended UNC-Chapel Hill and graduated from High Point University. He was retired from The Dean Company and attended Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. He was President of the High Point Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Pugh Jones; children, Page Jones Hauck and husband Kevin, Fred I. (Bud) Jones, Jr. and wife Lauren; grandchildren, Logan and Sarah Hauck, Clarke and Clay Jones; sister: Perry Russell and husband Tom; brother, Dr. Pete Jones and wife Margaret. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1225 Chestnut Dr., High Point with Rev. Dr. Al Ward and Rev. Jared Stine officiating. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nursing staff of High Point Regional Hospital for the fine care given to Fred during his illness. Memorials may be made to High Point Historical Society, Little Red Schoolhouse, 1859 E. Lexington Ave., High Point, NC 27262 or Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1225 Chestnut Dr., High Point, NC 27262. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the family.
